Hi! My name is Femke Ruijters. My CrossFit journey started in 2017. After attending Less Mills group lessons for years, which was really fun, I stopped doing that 3 years ago. After Les Mills I discovered Yoga! I wanted to take better care of my body and I was looking for some peace of mind. And secretly I thought it was a nice challenge to become also more flexible. CrossFit came my way one year after I discovered Yoga. I wanted to get my oldest son to work out! We started CrossFit together. and from that day on, the Yoga / CrossFit combination had started.
The favorite aspect of being a Yoga Teacher at CrossFit Heerlen is the chance to share my passion for Yoga with like-minded people. I like to help other people to feel better about themselves and their body through Yoga. The best thing about Yoga is that it’s not about achievements! You do it because you can let go of all pressure and expectations. With every Yoga posture there are options and tools so that everyone can really participate.
