Dear community of greatness,
Coach Valerie is joining the management team of CrossFit Heerlen to fill our open position. Her first day as an Assistant Box Manager will be Monday, April 8. As an assistant manager she will operate at the higher levels and have day-to-day responsibilities for managing the box and supporting us to make sure the box goals are met.
Valerie began CrossFit in May 2013. In October 2017, she became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and began leading WODs at CrossFit GK (a military CF affiliate) while apprenticing at CrossFit Heerlen, until January 2018 when she became an official CFH coach. She now has 350+ coaching hours and has earned the following certifications while being a coach at CrossFit Heerlen: Eerste Hulp bij Sportongevallen, NGB Weightlifting Trainer 1-2, and PowerMama Trainer Level 1. In February 2019 she attended the CrossFit Level 2 Trainer course to become a parttime coach and assistant box manager at CrossFit Heerlen. She is serious about delivering quality coaching and by passing her level 2 exam she showed virtuosity in coaching.
Additionally, Valerie is an experienced administrative professional skilled in project management, recruitment, community outreach, data entry and life cycle management. As a passionate team player, she will help managing on-going initiatives. She especially enjoys connecting members to the community and making them feel welcome. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, Valerie creates value to the box and we are delighted to welcome her as an assistant manager next to being a coach at CrossFit Heerlen. She will participate in manager onboarding activities for her first couple of weeks on the job, and she will also be coaching more.
Valerie will work closely with the box owners Danny and Thessyana. Next to working on the gym floor, she will also have office hours. With the arrival of Valerie as an assistant manager we will also get the chance to implement a number of great new initiatives. We will keep you posted.
Thanks for joining us in congratulating Valerie on her new role within the community!
